Vans, trucks and cars: see your QR codes and your site before you pay a cent. Free draft in about 3 days.

QR codes for your van, truck or car. Every parked hour works for you.

We make the QR codes for your vehicles and the site they open. The code on the back doors rings your phone, the one on the side shows your work, and you see which one gets scanned. Free draft in about 3 days.

$299 a year for your site and your QR codes, once it's live.

From a code on a parked van to a phone call

  1. The code on your vehicle

On the back doors, the side panel or a magnet on the door, with a reason to scan written next to it.

  2. A phone camera, no app

Someone at the curb, in the parking lot or in the driveway next door points their camera at it.

  3. Your page opens

Your services, your work, a call button and a request form, built for someone who just saw your truck.

Where on the vehicle

Four places on a vehicle where a QR code works

Where the code goes decides who scans it and how far away they stand.

The back doors

The spot people look at in parking lots and walk past at the curb. They're close enough to scan and they have a moment. Put your best code here, with "Scan to call" or "Scan to book" in big letters.

The side panel

Seen from across the street and by the whole block while you work. It's the place for a large code next to your logo and one short line on what you do.

Leads to your services and your work

A magnet on the car door

No wrap, no commitment: a magnetic sign with a code turns a personal car into a business card on wheels, and comes off for the weekend.

Leads to your site or your digital card

The rear window

A clear decal on the rear window is cheap and easy to swap each season. Seen in parking lots and at the curb, it's a good home for a code that leads to this month's offer.

Vehicles that work as ads

Trades and services that spend the day on the road get the most from a code on the vehicle.

  • PlumbersTrucks parked in customers' driveways
  • ElectriciansVans seen on every job site
  • HVAC contractorsService calls all over town
  • Cleaning companiesCars in front of homes and offices
  • LandscapersTrucks and trailers parked for hours
  • Moving companiesThe biggest billboard on the road
  • Car dealersA code on every car on the lot
  • RealtorsCar magnets between showings
How big to print

How big your code should be

The rule of thumb: a code scans from about ten times its width. Measure from where people will actually stand.

Where on the vehicleScanned fromCode size
Door magnet1–1.5 m12–15 cm
Back doors1.5–2 m15–20 cm
Rear window decal1.5–2 m15–20 cm
Side panel2–3 m20–30 cm
Box truck or trailer3–5 m30–50 cm

Leave a white border around the code, at least as wide as one of its small squares, and test it from the real distance before the decal goes on.

Scans you can count

See which vehicle and which spot bring the calls

Give each vehicle, or each spot, its own code. After a few weeks the scan counts show whether the back doors beat the side panel, and whether the van in the north end gets more attention than the pickup downtown.

Your offer changes; your decal doesn't have to. Point a code at a new page from the app, and every vehicle on the road follows.

  • Scans counted for each code
  • Change where a code leads, no new decal
  • More codes in the app, one per vehicle if you like

QR codes on wheels

Why a QR code on a vehicle beats a phone number alone

A phone number on a van is forgotten in seconds, and nobody writes one down in a parking lot. A code with "Scan to book" asks for two seconds when people are standing still: at the curb behind your truck, walking past in a lot, looking out the window at the van in the neighbour's driveway.

It also shows more than a decal can. Your services, your photos, what customers say about you, your service area and a way to book, all one scan away. People who have seen your work before they call are much easier to quote.

With one code per vehicle or per spot, a wrap stops being guesswork. You can see which truck, and which side of it, brings calls, and decide where the next wrap money goes.

Vehicles stay on the road for years; offers don't. Because the codes are yours, you can point them at a winter special, a new service or a new phone number from the app, and every vehicle already out there follows without a new decal.

Getting scans

How to put a code on a vehicle that people actually scan

  1. Say why to scan

"Scan to book", "Scan for a free quote" or "Scan to see our work" next to the code.

  2. Put it where people stand

The back doors and the curb side get scanned; the roof and the traffic side rarely do.

  3. Dark code, light background

A white panel behind the code, even on a dark wrap.

  4. Mind the curves

Keep codes off door handles, seams and curved panels that bend the pattern.

  5. Weatherproof print

Outdoor vinyl with a laminate, so sun and car washes don't fade it.

  6. Test from the real distance

Before the wrap goes on, scan a printout from where people will actually stand.

Questions about QR codes on vehicles

Can my wrap shop print the codes?

Yes. Download the code files and send them to your wrap or sign shop with the size you need.

How many codes can I have?

We set up three in your branding. In the app you can make as many more as you need, one per vehicle or per spot.

What if I sell the van?

Point its code at another page from the app, like a general contact page. Where a code leads always stays your call.

Will people really scan a code on a van?

When it's big enough, easy to reach and tells them why, yes. Most phones open codes straight from the camera now.

Do I need a website for this?

The codes need a good page to land on. That's why they come with your own site, built for the people who scan.

When do I pay?

Only after you say yes to your draft: $299 a year for the site and the codes. The draft costs nothing. Your own domain name is bought separately if you want one.
