The short answer

How do QR codes help a small business?

A QR code turns something people already hold or walk past, like a card, a flyer, a sign or a receipt, into a door to your page. They point their phone camera at it and they're looking at your work, your prices and your buttons. No typing, no searching for your name.

With several codes you learn what works. Put a different code on the van, the flyer and the yard sign, and the scan counts tell you which one brings people in. A code can also change where it leads later, so a printed sign can point to a new offer without being reprinted.

Every plan includes a QR code, ready to print. QR campaigns start with the Business Showcase: as many codes as you need, scan tracking per code and per campaign, and changing where codes lead from the app. One honest limit: we can only redirect codes we made, not codes printed from another service.

QR codes also measure the offline world, which is usually guesswork. How many people actually looked at your flyer or your sign? With a campaign code on it, you know.

How to get scans, not just codes

A QR code nobody scans is just a pattern. A few simple rules help.

  1. Say why to scan

"Scan to see our work" or "Scan for this week's offer" beats a bare code.

  2. Print it big enough

About 2 cm on a card, much bigger on a sign people see from a distance.

  3. Leave white space around it

Codes crammed against text or edges scan badly.

  4. Test before you print a thousand

Scan it with two different phones, in ordinary light.

  5. One code per place

A different code on the van and on the flyer tells you which one works.

  6. Send people somewhere useful

A specific offer or a booking form, not always just your home page.

  7. Keep the page fast

People scan on the go. A page that loads slowly loses them.

Questions about QR codes

Can you change where an existing QR code leads?

If it's a QRaway code and you're on the Business Showcase, yes, from the app, without reprinting anything.

I already printed codes from another service. Can you redirect them?

No. Only whoever made those codes can change them. We'll make you new ones, and from then on you're in control.

How many QR codes do I get?

Every plan includes a QR code. With QR campaigns on the Business Showcase you can make as many as you need.

Can I see how many people scanned?

Yes, with QR campaigns: a scan count for each code and each campaign.

Can I print them myself?

Yes. Download your codes and print them anywhere: cards, stickers, signs, even an ordinary office printer.

Do QR codes expire?

The code itself doesn't. It's just a link drawn as a pattern. What matters is where it points, and with QR campaigns on the Business Showcase that's yours to change.

What's the difference between a QR code and a QR campaign?

A QR code is one code that leads to one place. A campaign groups several codes, say one per flyer run or per sign, so you can compare their scans.

Will people actually scan a QR code?

Most phones open QR codes straight from the camera now, and people are used to scanning menus, tickets and parking signs. A clear reason to scan does the rest.

Can a QR code go on a vehicle wrap or a big sign?

Yes, as long as it's large enough to scan from where people stand. Test it from that distance before the sign goes up.

How much is it?

A QR code comes with every plan, from $99 a year. QR campaigns with tracking start with the Business Showcase at $299.
