Discover how F-One, launched in 1999 as the first Formula 1 community portal, grew into QRaway Racing — one of the most complete motorsport databases in the world.
Back in 1999, I built my very first website — F-One: World of Formula 1.
What started as a passion project quickly became the most popular Formula 1 forum in the region, setting records in online traffic and building one of the earliest motorsport communities on the web.
This project pushed technical boundaries at the time and introduced features that were rare for late-90s web projects:
🏁 Custom CMS with flat-file databases (before WordPress even existed).
💬 Forums, live chat, and fan interaction tools.
📊 A complete database of F1 drivers and teams covering 50+ years of history.
🎥 Offline fan events and live race screenings.
Within a year, F-One reached the #1 spot among Formula 1 portals in the former Soviet Union.
The platform attracted sponsors, advertising campaigns, and even partnerships with companies like Lycos.
At its peak, more than 1,200 users were online simultaneously (2003–2004).
This project laid the foundation for my digital studio Deridex and future complex projects — leading all the way to QRaway and QRaway Racing, 25 years later.
Today, every result is recorded line by line, covering almost the entire world of motorsport.
