OBNALI4KA (2001) was an early online exchange service. We developed the front-end interface for a WebMoney-based system that enabled registration, transactions, and exchange coupons.
In 2001, we built the front-end interface for OBNALI4KA, an online exchange service that converted electronic money into cash and back.
The system targeted WebMoney users and allowed them to register, submit exchange requests, and receive automatically generated coupons for transactions.
🖥️ Web interface for an exchange point.
👤 User registration with a basic database.
💵 Exchange requests submitted via online forms.
🧾 Automatic coupon generation for in-person cash operations.
💻 Implemented in Perl, connected with WebMoney and similar e-wallets.
⏳ The system remained active for about three years.
OBNALI4KA was not our own product, but a commissioned project where we delivered the user-facing interface (“skin”) for the exchange system.
While many of the financial processes were handled manually behind the scenes, the solution stood as an early example of online money exchange services, bridging digital wallets with real-world cash long before such services became widespread.
